River Side Snake

I was running a while back and as I'm running I see this little snake so I stop to Look at it and I noticed that it had no reaction to my presence so I poke it with a stick and still nothing. So I empty my water bottle and put the snake in the bottle using a stick still. I take it home and put it on my dissection tray and move it around a little more to make sure it's dead but then it starts twitching but not so that it looked alive. It was dead for sure and was only twitching because it was a snake and has a longer body. So I decide not to dissect it because it was really thin so I kept it as a wet specimen instead.
