Ripped Wings

So for the past week, I've been trying to catch this butterfly that I've been seeing in the woods. Today I finally caught one of them and I was so happy but, the butterfly kept flapping around in the jar so much that it ripped its own wings. I wanted the butterfly to preserve its beauty but since it ripped its own wing so much I didn't think it was worth it so I let the bugger go.
