Unknown Dead Bird

My father recently found this dead bird at his job and he brought it to me but I have no Idea what bird it is. It has red wings and tail, yellowish tan chest, and is around 4-6 inches long.

Since the bird was already decaying and had bugs in it, I put it in a plastic box with a lid and the box has holes in it, I then buried it underground and the holes are there so that other bugs can get in and eat away at it and its in a box so that when all the flesh is gone all there is are the bones and them being in a box prevents and bugs od bigger birds from taking pieces of the skeleton. Its April 26 and I plan to keep the bird buried until the end of may just to make sure all the flesh is gone. Once I take it out from the ground I will see what I have left and if I'm lucky I'll be able to put the whole skeleton back together.
